• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

BRP Announcement ?? (or not), I believe it, I Do.

Hey Joe I tried to find that bulletin but could not locate it. Every time I searched or it I found this:

Snopes response to urban legends in Arkansas-

After much testing and analyzing, BRP Engineers have discovered that the Black 2014 RTS is the fastest, best looking and coolest Spyder on the road could not be confirmed because engineers could not find find a paved road in all of Arkansas. Engineers are certain however that any colored Spyder in the great state of Texas could beat said black Spyder in that other state known as Arkansas. The great state of Texas has extended a warm welcome to its northern neighbors in Arkansas to come on down and test these new things called roads. While here you can also taste our world famous BBQ while you watch us fly by on our Spyders.

This was the only thing I found Joe. Lol

Twain:

What is this "ROADS" thing that you speak of??????????????

But i know what BBQ is and i will find my way down there to Texas and try some of yours one of these days.

See you at Spyderfest. You can still enter these here United States from Texas right???????????

Not sure Joe. They still have the roadblocks up to keep the rift raft out of our beautiful state. Not gonna make Spyderfest this year. Gonna do Indian rally in May at Indian Point I think.

Well we will miss you at Spyderfest. Be safe and careful

It's a proven fact that the black color comes from absorbing all colors of light as opposed to white, which reflects all colors of light.
Thus, any light that shines on the Timeless Black Spyder is absorbed by the bike. Because of the relatively large front surface area, absorbing the light pulls the bike forward adding to it's speed.
Any other color reflects some, or all light, thus pushing away from the front and slowing the Spyder down.
This makes the Timeless Black the fastest color of all.
The only real debate is whether the 2014 is faster than the 2010.
I suspect the 2010 is faster, but I'm open to the suggestion that the difference may be difficult to measure.

Then I'm in real trouble, I've got a white one!!
However the police officer with a radar gun said I was doing almost 130mph (Lucky, he's a friend and I was on a WW2 airfield!!)
That really begs the question: How fast will the BLACK ones go???

129 mph

Oooops!!

What I forgot to mention is that I've got an RS-S which does have a superior power to weight ratio to an RTS! :roflblack:

Sports car v. truck if you know what I mean!!:ohyea:

But...
Wouldn't it ALSO be absorbing all light from the rear as well; negating the forward pull?

Thanks to this thread, I think I've finally figured out how to help my son build a winning pinewood derby car! We're going to paint the nose black, the tail white, and stand at opposite ends of the track shining LED flashlights at it:roflblack:

Faster....... I think not.....

:lecturef_smilie: Now Gentlemen you might think Black is faster but as was pointed out before it sucks the color out of other bikes and takes it in... which in turn will slow it down after all if it sucks in a.. say a Harley.. you are not moving without a very large head start... :coffee:

And as for colors... hummm.. Cognac I am afraid goes down smooth and FAST with an added KICK at the end.. so unless you are any other color I am sorry but you are taking a back seat to us.... :2thumbs:

We may need a working definition of "almost"...
Docdoru is the Bonneville Land Speed Record holder in the 1000cc class (I don't know what they actually call it...)
His turbocharged Silver Dream didn't quite run that fast..
Take your bike to the Salt Flats, and you'll be famous!

The Fastest Spyder Ever...

Is the Phantom! Only one year of production because the black matt finish absorbs the radar gun blast rendering speed traps useless.

BRP quit making them because of law suits brought about by LEOs swearing that black watchamacallit was going faster than the main flow of traffic but couldn't back it up with a radar reading.

Sorry all y'all, hate to burst your bubble but, facts are facts.

The Phantoms move in Stealth Mode... :ohyea:

So my point of black being the fastest still holds water?
