There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. BRP 3 yr Extended Warranty ???

Extended warranty is no difference than insurance, just gotta weigh the cost. May never use it, but sure glad you had it if you do.

That's absolutely right. Am glad we got a 4-year warranty free with the purchase of the 2013 STS.
Looks we might be using it :yikes: :D

Taking the kill switch issue that developed over the weekend to the dealership asap.
Am sure they will make things right.

Always forward

That sounds a little backward? If you have money to burn you can pay for things as they happen and not need insurance? :dontknow:

:)
Always forward, I never look back. The problem with people today is they cannot take responsibility for there actions. It's always someone else that was at fault. Insurance companies have far to much power in this country. The way to reduce there power is to reduce the money they receive. I'm just doing my part.

Sounds like circular reasoning to me.

I bought the extended warranty today from Bert's. Yes, it's insurance, and for this computerized monster, I think it's worth the peace of mind. I'm no super mechanic like some here, so I'll let the experts worry with and be responsible for repairs for 5 years.

The only issues we have had was the throttle body and air ride issue. They replaced both under warranty. The cost of those 2 repairs would atleast made us break even. I feel with the electronics and cost of repair/flat rate time, that its money well spent.

My M109, I didnt get a warranty. But, they is alot easier to work on that the Spyder.

Still haven't decided whether I'll buy another spyder after my "13". When I make that decision which will be within two years of purchase, and if I make the decision to get another, then I'll buy the extended warranty. Come to think about it I'll buy it anyways within the two year manufacturers warranty.

Have and will have again...

Really debated when I bought my 2010 :spyder2:..as I DO NOT buy extended warranties (well that went out the door when I decided)...for anything...but being a new model (I NEVER buy any new model!!!)...and my lack of mechanical skills or desire to learn....I decided it was a worthwhile investment....AND I have the experience to say it was a very wise investment. My 2010 gave me no issues (other than recalls and they were never an issue...just done because "suppose to")...then last year lost clutch in TN...well that one alone convinced me I made the right decision. And have used it twice since..for "minor" issues but always resulted in a net savings to me. (for example toggle latch on Frunk went out...if out of pocket it would have been $75. $50 BEST deductible...leaves me $25 in pocket..that math works for me).. Sooooo based on my personal experience...when I buy my 2015 :spyder2: (yep warranty expires then)...I will be shopping for the best price on both :spyder2: and extended warranty...

It is the law here in California...no choice involved. Even if it weren't the law, i'd still pay for it...especially after buying my then step-daughter a car in which she was supposed to keep insured...she lapsed on the insurance, lost control of the car and totaled it after hitting a brand new BMW. She was at fault...but it was ME who shouldered the thousands of dollars for her accident. I could've bought myself a new car for what I shelled out for her bad judgement. I agree with insurance being mandated by law...too many irresponsible drivers out there uninsured but without the $$$ to cover any damages they may inflict on others...for this reason, I also have uninsured motorist insurance...for those irresponsible enough to drive uninsured and cannot afford to pay out of pocket for any damage they may cause. I simply don't want to have to think how I'm going to come up with a crap load of $$$ right after an accident I was involved with. I'd rather call my adjuster and file a claim, then let them do what I pay them to do...cover all damages and get me back on the road as quick as possible. Nuff said, stepping down off of my soapbox now...

In the box

:hun: Must be nice knowing one serious accident or illness can put you in the poor house.
Some people think inside the box, some outside the box and some globally. There is more 02 outside the box. Some people are self insured, they have enough money. Also some people have earned their health benefit thru military service and social security. Some people stumble through life like an intoxicated sailor. Some people have the intelligence to plan their lives and reach self actualization. When I say I have zero insurance, its because I have so many other options. It is in the plan.

I agree with you

I do not own a car. If I did I would buy the insurance. Step out of the box. Your world is not the same for all people. Extended warranty insurance is a big money maker for the insurance companies. They are praying on the feeble minded people that make up a large percentage of our population. Enough said, some people will stumble through life.
