• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Help!!
2021 RTL
Left side saddlebag release lever snapped off. It was unlocked and very little pressure.
How do I get in now?

We are away for the weekend and all our clothes are in there!!

Short of an easy fix with basic tools (in the rain... BTW), what do I do to get in when I get home and have a shop full of tools?

If it's anything like the earlier RTs, you can access the cables and mechanism by removing the big panel that wraps around the trunk area.

Take pass seat off two screws hold the little fill in panel under pass hand bar remove little fill in panel look down toward bag you will see lever just push on it bag will open

Reach up between the bag and the body. there is the latch cable with a tensioning nut on it . turn it to loosen the cable until you can apply pressure to the bag and it will just fall open. Then get the dealer to replace the latch mechanism under warranty. Happened to me in October.

Exactly. If you need help, call me: number below. Joe

Thanks for the help.
I gave it a try. No luck.
I turned the barrel tensioner to both extremes. I couldn't tell upside down it the mud and mosquitoes what was loosen and what was tighten. The cable does seem to be zip tied into a tight u-turn, but there is what feels to be a wire there also. I am not going to try blindly cutting it with a jackknife. We will be going right past the dealer Monday morning on our way home. Let them deal with it.

There is not dinner dress code in the wilds of NH. We will just wear the clothes we have on.

Thanks again for the help.

Off to our daily adventure. We are renting an ATV and going trail riding.

Better weather conditions this afternoon. Watched how the right side worked from up underneath. Was able to get the left side to release by twisting the inside part of the broken lever.
Got the good going out to dinner clothes free a half hour before our reservation time.:2thumbs:

Going to swing by the dealer on the way home tomorrow and get it fixed.

Thanks again.

Mine were stuck so I knew not to get to aggressive pulling the levers so I used the palm of my hand and very very forcefully push on the side case and It released. I'm going to grease the latches as its not the lever-its the latch mechanism is not lubricated at all.

Mine did same thing. There is a bulletin to replace part of the latch under warranty. Had mine fixed at dealer, if that helps any.
