• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Broken Rear Fender is NOT covered by BEST protection plan

:agree: ..and that's a dang shame because the bad press that is caused by these dealers hurts even the good ones...:gaah:
And when should a :cus:-poor design ever be considered a "wear item"? A manufacturer should warranty the design of their product and not just the workmanship!

After corresponding with Carlo, BRP has agreed to replace both mine and my husband's as a goodwill measure. IMHO no way is this fair wear and tear. Kudos to Carlo.

If that is what it takes, I will give it a BRP a chance to make this right. What is the contact info for Carlos?

It must depend on dealer

I'm not sure about anyone getting it covered directly under their BEST warranty - but I know BRP has covered them under the factory warranty.
I'm also not sure anyone has had BRP cover them once they were out of the 2 year factory warranty period....

Seems BEST is considering it something like body rust or a dented car panel for example--- which I don't think is fair.

I never got mine fixed and prefer to run without the fender --- but either BRP or BEST should cover this in my opinion as this has been a pretty common problem.

The first dealer I took this question to said it would not be covered, but this is the same dealer that cost me so much on my front sprocket ,belt and rear sprocket problem. Long story short it cost me over $1000 that almost eveyone else had done for no cost or $50 deductible. I went to Ingles Performance and showed him the rear fender bracket in question and he looked at the other and said that was starting to crack also and did both under the best warranty for the usual $50 deductible. We had our Spyder about 2 yrs. and 3 months at the time. They have always done good by me and they will continue to be 'my' dealer!!
