Broken purge solenoid

Hi-

I decided to do the canisterectomy today and I ended up breaking :yikes: the lower plastic connector on my purge solenoid right at the base. It broke in one piece, so would epoxying it work temporarily until I can get a new one?

The part says Bosch 0 280 142 470...I am having trouble finding it online. Is there a different part number I could find at a local parts store or car dealership? The nearest Can-Am dealer is 100 miles away.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be great

709000413 rollover valve $35.99 located on the tank
Don't see any solenoid :dontknow:

Do you think epoxying the broken one will work in the meantime?

Sure....

Should be fine, just let it set well. I usually use a soldering gun to weld the break and then apply the epoxy so it has rough edges to latch onto...:thumbup:

Yep, it is the purge valve :thumbup:

Why do you want to retain the purge valve anyway? If you are removing the canister. The purge valve would serve no function.
