• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

HELP!!!!! I can't believe Ijust said that,, Looks like I may need to get towed home tomorrow,,, Here we are 125 miles from home and the "CHECK ENGINE" light came on,,,, :banghead: I know it's still there I can hear it,,,,,:roflblack::roflblack::banghead: Any ideas ???? Other than get a cold glass of iced tea and go to bed early,,,,

Did it happen while riding or after sitting overnite? Had a similar situation in '11 and it only happened after it had sat overnite. After starting, and running a minute or two, and then letting it set for a little while it woujld start and run ok.
It turned out to be throttle body but we made it several hundred miles home and the TB was replaced.

Last year, had a similar situation where it happened only after riding and stopping, say, for gas. It would jiggle and shake and I kept turning it off, walk away with key, try again, and after several times it started. Again it required a TB replacement. That was a year ago and no probs since they've updated the computers.

Need more..!!

Information, what did you check, what does it do or not do, did you check for codes...?? Maybe we can help..!! :dontknow:

If it did not trigger limp mode, and your engine is not misbehaving, I'd ride it home. It may well clear after a restart, anyway. You could check for active fault codes. When you get home, have your dealer look it over. He can pull up the fault code history, and shed light on the reason. If you do have or develop limp mode, and it will not clear, you will likely need a tow unless you can figure out the reason and resolve the problem.

I didn't see a code all it said was
'CHECK ENGINE" and no "LIMP MODE",,, bet on the bright side of things We're broke Down in Brenham Tx the home of "BLUE BELL" ice cream :roflblack::banghead:

To check for active fault codes:

RT - With ignition on, press MODE, SET, and Turn Signal Cancel simultaneously. Active fault codes will be shown alphanumerically on display.

RS - With ignition on, press MODE repeatedly to display total hours on display. Press and hold MODE button. While doing so press "Flash High Beams" button rapidly 5 times within two seconds. Active fault codes or "No Active Fault" will be displayed.

Someone here can translate the codes for you if you don't have a shop manual.

Thank you "Professor" the code is "PO175" ,,, 2011 RT

P0175 = System too rich, bank 2. This is usually due to a momentary glitch, and it clears on restart. If it does not clear, it often indicates a misfire...possibly from a fouled spark plug, bad plug wire, bad coil, or even an ECM problem. If it clears, I'd not give it a second thought unless it repeats. If it doesn't clear, your dealer needs to troubleshoot the cause.
