• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Brembo brake pads?

I just purchased new front and rear brake pads for a customers bike and on opening the package, find out they are repackaged Brembo pads.

Brembo part number 107B80916 for the fronts (one per wheel)
Brembo part number 107B78710 for the rear.

Anyone know of a source other than going through BRP parts to get the Brembo pads?

Brembo makes just about every kind of brake pad possible. Semi-Metallic, Ceramic, Sintered, Semi-Sintered and Organic. There may be more. But I believe that the only material they put on a Spyder backing plate is the organic material. And as far as I know, the only source is BRP. Or at lease I have not been able to find another source.

I do sell EBC pads and they also make an organic for both the older (BRP) system and the newer (Brembo) system. I don't carry the organics because frankly, though the organic is less expensive, the Semi-Sintered (older system) and Fully Sintered (new system) are simply better and I think well worth the few extra dollars. After all, stopping is what it is all about! :ohyea:

I have the fully sintered EBC pads from BajaRon on my F3 and can attest to how well they work.
