• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I will pick up my SE5 this week. Have had a spinal cord tumor with lower extremity weakness. This is just amazing to think I will be on a bike. I don't have a parking brake extension and wonder where I would find one. Any suggestions? Thanks Mark:yes:

Hi Mark and welcome. :congrats: on the new Spyder. You sure came to the right place for info.

There is a section for enabled Spyder Riders on the Forums link on the top of this board.

Welcome to the forum.

Hopefully one of the other enabled members will see this soon and tell you where to get the parts you need.

:congrats:

ISCI, whose link is on the home page, makes a parking brake extension, as well as a hand brake and other items which can assist a physically challenged rider. Wecome to our little group of enthusiastic Spyder nuts.

Parking brake extension

welcome You'll find the Spyder pretty easy to modify to suit your needs. Look at the ISCI had brake and their park brake extension. If you don't have the leg strength to operate the park brake reliably, consider bolting a lever to the pedal so you can operate it with your left hand (my next mod).

You'll find a lot of good advice here. Have fun.

Cheers;

Pogo.

I am a left leg amputee riding a 2009 SE5 and have benefited from ideas posted in these forums.

Check RoHo's solutions for the SE5 park brake and for the hand brake at:
