• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Brake pedal 4 inchs

Hello everyone !!

I installed as can be several, on my RT the brake pedal which is very small.

Because I have a problem with my right foot. (lot of osteoarthritis)

But once installed, it was no longer possible to put my foot under the 4-inch pedal.

I solved the problem simply by installing an aluminum block (it can be plastic or hardwood)

the size of the block = 1''1/4 x 1''1/4 x 2'' inchs length, I drill holes in the block, and buy longer bolt, and a bit of loctite on tread.

Now I can have a comfortable position these SUPER.

Let's see....

I see from pic and profile you are on a RT. So must involve the floor board and brake issue...:agree: pic would clear up things for those that are not getting what is going on. Glad you found a solution to your problem. I also have issues with my right foot but only needed to widen the pedal .....20160125_091712.jpg granted mine is an RS with pegs...

NOT to sound " snarky " …. But " I installed as can be several " - what does this mean ?????? ……… Also I see you have " floor boards " … with this New 4 inch brake pedal, can you COMPLETELY depress the pedal ???? …………………..Mike

I do not have a picture to show you, I had to try several hardwood block height before finding the right thickness for my foot.
I have the aluminum block that I will install in the spring I will take pictures.
To lift the foot, I find that these not more complicated, when you're in your car and you get up when you're on the cruise control to put the brake, I made 3000 kilometers from the end of July until I put it back for the winter.
the arthosis of my big toe I have no more pain.
Later for photos probably, it's winter in Canada and these very cold now.
Thank you for your comment.

Yes there is another similar post, I look on the site if there was a subject like the one I posted, but it is loing I did not see the date, it would not have come on the first page , and I would not have had any comments.
As I was in the mechanics and development of industrial machinery, I had the idea to lift the pedal to have a position to do the road.

There is currently two threads on this topic. DIY https://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?99267-Brake-Pedaland now RT (this site) Can we make both link together on R because this is dealing with RT specific brake pedal.
