Saturday was a rare day Cynthia didn't have any pressing things for me to do and there were no rides scheduled and the woodshed is almost full. I decided to do the brakes on Charlotte and see how they are doing. I bought a set from BajaRon not to long after buying Charlotte but they weren't needed until now. At 25695 the rear pads were almost gone, less then 1mm. Glad I didn't wait another week. The fronts still had about 2mm of thickness left,I could have left them but decided to do them all in one swell foop. All the posts here and on FB said it was easy and I had already had the rear wheel off once before so I went at it.I started at 12:00 pm and finished the backs at 4:00pm. I had a little trouble lining up the new pads, mounting holes and bolts but it wasn't that bad. I don't know why it took so long other then to say I am not the mechanic at 70 that I was at 40. Anyway went in and took a nap for an hour, then did the fronts. I had to fight the front pads off but once they were off it dawned on me the clips just lift out not unsnap :dontknow::gaah: That of course made the other side much easier. So now we have new pads all around they are BajaRons EBC and should last even longer and according to reputation stop better.
From this picture can you tell what else I did to Charlotte along with the brake job?
