• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Brake pads: old and new

How you can tell that you have old/squeaking brakes (see the gold color in the pad's steel backing plate):

and compare with the new/silencer brakes (see the black color in the pad's steel backing plate):

Well, I had my 3K service today and I questioned the service dept about my squeaky brakes... and that BRP stated that BRP would furnish the pads and the dealer the install. However, both the Service Mgr, and techie stated that they have used the so-called new pads, and they squeak worse than the old ones, and we had to re-install the old ones because the customer screemed.
So, I did not force the issue at this time.. I shall make other attempts to find out where the truth lies in these squeaky pads.

Got my SE back from break-in service on Saturday. Ever since, my brakes have been squealing (didn't notice any noise before). They also squeak after releasing brakes while rolling forward. Almost like they are sticking.

Is brake adjustment done during initial break-in?

No brake adjustment on disk brakes, and none called for on initial service. If they washed the Spyder, it can be started by moisture. If so, go out and use them hard and it will go away. BRP's original fix for this entailed cleaning the brakes with CRC brake cleaner, removing the pads, and applying CRC Disk Brake quiet to the backs of them. Disk Brake Quiet is a bubbery compound that insulates the pad from the caliper slightly, and stops the vibrations that cause the noise.
