• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Brake Failure Message

Bogie

New member
The last 6-8 times I went to start my Spyder I got a "Brake
Failure" message and could not release the parking brake. Turned it off, waited a few seconds and restarted and it was OK.
Any ideas as to why the message comes on?
Do I need to return to the dealer to have it looked at. I have 5k miles on it now.

Little checking..!!

check fluid levels..they may look good but are very senative to amounts. Do the key walk, unless you remove the key when home, so the computer can reset. Don't know your mileage maybe check brake pads for wear....

brake

If you have an RT it is your parking brake motor check your relays in the trunk maybe the parking SW

Ok, so on the way into work this morning the "low brake fluid" warning flashes on the screen, and then the brake failure message. I suspect the fluid is low.

What is the code . You said you can not release the parking brake . You have 2 problems. Fill the brake fluid till the floats are up. If the fuild is dark it will have to be changed. You do not need the BUD.
