• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Brake bulb win

I've had them in my Spyder for over a year now with no problems.

Like Dan said, be careful when you twist them into the socket.

Hey, I ordered my Pilot's, made sure they were the correct model and everything. When I had just one of them in, everything was fine. After I got them both installed, there went the faults and limp mode. So out they came. I guess that was $16.95 gone to waste. I don't know why they work in other spyders and not mine. hmmm. :dontknow::dontknow:

Must be all the other additional lights that you have. I'll use them once my tail lights burn out.

Did you ever happen to find a solution to the LED compatibility question?

I hope that one of the folks out has figured it out. I just had my second running light/brake light burn out. Has any one else come up with an answer? I would really like to switch to LED if possible and not too costly!

Thanks,
Steve

Sports Rack removal on ST so as to get to seat bolts

Just picked up a Demo ST with rack all ready fitted. Need to remove it to take off the seat to fit a riders backrest. Removed the four bolts under the lid on top and one screw holding the splash guard underneath. the whole rack is loose but I do not know how to disconnect the cable assembly which seems to be stopping the final removal of the rack. Do you have to take the splash guard completely off underneath to access the cable to disconnect? Any help would be appreciated.:opps:

:welcome:Others will have to come on and answer this question. Did you notice this was a thread from 2009? An easy thing for a new person to the site. Recommend starting a new thread with your question.

You will have to drop the splash pan, then drop the lower cover of the sport rack. You should the be able to see how to disengage the cable.

Yeah..!!

you have to access the bolt that goes through to remove the rack. There are two screws coming up from the bottom of the lower cover one on each side in the middle. This will allow you to remove it.
