• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Boycott the new Godless coin.

Here's another tidbit, the term Separation of Church and State is not in the Constitution, like some may think.

Bob,
It's not a bad motto, and although I'm not an atheist, I really don't care one way or the other if it's on my currency. In fact, if you have any Krugerrands, I'd be glad to take them off your hands.

I just have a problem when someone tries to get me to boycott anything and tries to make me feel like I'd be doing something wrong if I don't. I don't need someone thinking for me.

I think the term "separation of church and state" was used by some old guy like Joe. Lol

Having collected stamps, I am surprised no one stated this:

In God We Trust was supposed to be on the coin...

The fact that it might not be on the coin [edge] is not a reason to give the coin back - it is a reason to collect them because they are a minting error. As such, they are worth much more than a dollar today and even more in the future; kind of like some of the older stamps with upside down airplanes.

To the original point of the post, I agree with the point of objection. The statement on our currency is a statement of the people of this country. It has been with us throughout time and should remain so into the future. That said, we will all now look for this on our dollar coins.

Jerry

SO.....................have you ever been busted for exceeding the legal posting limit, and been placed on posting probation? ;) BTW: I'm on cart probation at WalMart............................for repeatedly running over other customers with my cart while blasting up and down the aisles. I'm not proud of it.

Just curious. How many of you that are upset actually READ your money???? :dontknow:

They're actually a good read...:joke:

I haven't seen the coin yet - or I don't think so... I'm not a fan of dollar coins though, since all my coins end up in a ziplock bag in my laptop bag. I save them for vending machines and such, but now that I work from home, my empty laptop bag weighs more than my laptop. I guess it's time to clean out my change...

Sorry to all but friend from Canada.....we have been using dollar coins and 2 dollar coins for the past several years and can't imagine ever going back.....our mint is even talking about going to a five dollar coin....we did all the grumbling....and now it is accepted....the only thing they did differently is that no more 1 or 2 dollar bills....immediately stopped producing the paper bills and only produced coins....soooo I'm sure I'm going to get a blast from some people....but hey I like them...

The ONLY problem that I see with using coins...
It makes that old bit of wisdom obsolete ...
"Do you want to DOUBLE your money? It's easy; fold it in half, and stick it back in your pocket" :D
