• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Bought my Spyder! I've been looking since 2008, to one extent or another!

I just made an offer, and it has been countered/accepted, on a 2015 Can Am Spyder Special Edition red/black. I've just applied for the loan, and though my credit is good... 35 years at same employer... 30 years married... 28 years in same house.... I won't believe it is happening until I get word back.

The only thing I wonder about is that cut down windshield. I am 6 feet tall, but an unusually large percentage of that is in my torso. It's as though I am 6'5" tall when I sit down...if that makes sense. I wonder if I should try to trade out for the cheaper "normal" windshield, as opposed to this cut down and darkened windshield. I'll probably take it as is, and see.

Moto Guzzi goes for sale next week. Beautiful bike.

I am nervous, and excited. It feels right.... pretty much! ;-)

Thanks for all the good thoughts so far.

:congrats: that is my favorite color. I would start thinking farkles now.

Try it with the on board windshield--you may like it. Am guessing if you don't, there may be a few who would be willing to do a swap.

Relax. .!!

good move and once your on your new ryde tooling down the highway your doubts will be gone forever...:2thumbs: great choice in color...:clap:

Practical?

Referring to your earlier post, don't worry if it is practical or not. Even if you just use it to pick up a few groceries, they will taste better when you get them home.:D

Practical

Thanks for all the great thoughts.

My practical post was part of a series, laying out the thoughts going through my head. Fun is OK... in fact critical to a good life. But I was wondering what people thought of the practicality. I plan to commute on my rig... but my biggest desire is to go on adventures, short and long term. I am SO looking forward to this. BRyan
