• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Bought it and brought it home - 2014 RT-S

Picked up my 2014 RT-S in yellow (of course) last night and only got 39 miles to ride it home but absolutely love it. I know, I know, post a pic. Will get to it but I'm at work.

There is absolutely no comparing my old 2008 Spyder to this one. Smoother, more stable, more confidence inspiring. Wasn't sure about the SE6 but that has turned out to be a lot of fun. Probably should have measured the size of the frunk as it is smaller than the 2008. I used to be able to get a full face helmet, jacket, gloves and my lunch in there. Now the helmet is about it. Coming off a 2012 BMW K1600 GTL which is comparable in price, it is not comparable in features many of which I bet will become standard on RTs in the future. BRP ought to consider remote keyless fobs that lock all lockable containers, an integrated alarm system, heated seats to go with the grips, consider the move to shaft drive, satellite radio and Blue tooth standard, etc etc.

I was really happy with my dealer's attention to detail setting it up and delivering it to me. He had an issue with parts mislabled when he tried to put a drivers back rest on the box said stock seat but was actually for the comfort seat so it had those wrinkles and he had to take it off and re-order it. While the tech was taking the seat back off I was just standing around and noticed the passenger hand grips had slight rips in them. The tech took a look and figured out it was during setup that they have to run straps on those handles to lift the rear and install the shock. Owner simply said, they will order and replace right away. Good deal.

Weather will be great this weekend so hoping to put enough miles on it for the 600 mile checkup

:congrats: on your new ryde. My favorite color also. I like your ideas about what else to add to the :spyder2:. Also great to see you have an attentive dealer.

I looked at the BMW 1600 but they only make them for 7ft riders. :roflblack::roflblack: The have even come out with a more plush edition for 2014.

 to many miles and smiles on your new :ani29:

Congrats On your new :ani29:. to many miles of smiles.
I like many of your ideas on what should come next and they did address as an option on the heated seat, but I vote no to shaft drive. I have had shafts on my Guzzi's and BMW's and belts on my Harley's. I perfer belts as they last a long time without the maintaince issues of shalfs and take less power to run.

Congrats

Congrats on your new Spyder - :congrats:

I'm interested in what you have to say because I will come off of an '08 GS to an RT (when I find "the" one, LOL), so keep us all posted please.

Enjoy!!!!!!
