• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Body Panels and Fog Light Issue

I screwed up today. I ran into the back of a vehicle and damaged my RT 2019. What’s the best way to fix the damage? Will the dealer take care of it or do they farm it out to a body shop? Can the damage to the Tupperware be filled in and repainted. Can I get a used light lens somewhere or just replace it? Opinions welcomed. No panels are cracked or out of alignment. Just scratched and gouged down to the black plastic. Color is Phoenix Orange.A248A5A9-8E64-46A7-BD9C-404B5131BF08.jpg

Every dealer is different when it come to accident repair. Some do it some don't. But don't think that that is all the damage you have there maybe other damage you don't see but they will see it when they take the trunk apart. I would say just take it the the dealer (a good one hopefully ) and let them look at it, and fix it unless you plan on doing the work.

It depends on what you are capable of doing using BONDO ..... I doubt very much that the LENS is available as a separate part ....on my 14 RT ( very similar to yours ) it's the entire unit ...Dealers are ONLY going to RE-PLACE parts .. When I broke my OEM antennae I re-placed it with a Manual collapsible unit from Bosch .... I had to move it a bit because of the different angle so I had to close the oem hole .... I glued a patch inside and then filled in with Bondo. No one can tell I did it ...... good luck .... Mike

Thanks guys. It’s going to be rough matching that color. I won’t be doing the work.

Actually not really .... you or whoever does the work can buy matching paint from a number of merchants .... or most auto paint outlets can analyze your paint and a computer will do the mixing to get it right ..... I have done this for car paints in the past with good success ..... Mike

If your handy at all with this sort of thing, I would take it apart and see if you have any underlying problems you can't see, then while you have that panel that's scratched off, and good body shop could fix that thing, good as new! If you have broken anything else order the parts and put her back together!!! Or pay the long dollar and take it to the shop and let them play with it! Good Luck

You may be able to find a used replacement lens on Ebay. If I remember correctly, I ran across one on there about a week ago. Of course, I wasn't needing one, so passed it on by. But check on there. Go on a Can-Am parts look-up and get the part# for the entire fog light...that may help you on Ebay. Don't know if all RTs are the same part# from 2014-2019, but by looking up the part# for each year model, you should be able to tell. Hope this helps! Good luck!
