• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Just heard from Bob a few minutes ago. He's sitting in the dark, talking on an old dial phone with no lights or heat but they are all OK otherwise.

Waiting for the power to be restored so they can go buy a generator.

:hun:

Does he need gas to fuel up his car to go pick it up? Or he needs power to buy the generator online?:roflblack::roflblack:
Glad to hear you are all ok!

Glad to hear that most everything is right with Bob D. I see that he has not posted anything since 10/29. That of course is rare for Bob. :2thumbs:

Is he starting to feel the effect of a posting Jones. Cold sweat, shakes and the feeling of panic maybe!

Wait a few weeks. It will be just like the months following Y2K. Generators will be available almost new and unused CHEAP at a yard sale near you. :roflblack::roflblack:

Three years ago we had that blizzard here and everyone was trying to find snowblowers. I bought one and it was available for pickup the day I flew to Mexico. I had someone else pick it up and they used it a big but I had already shoveled out enough so that I could escape to the airport. I have not used the snowblower since.

However....we are supposed to have a multiple massive snow storms this year so, if we do I'm prepared with the blower AND a plow.

We've had multiple storms knock out power for days, a week or more so I am thinking of a generator. We have well water here so, now power = no water and I have horses to take care of too. We were only out of power about 20 hours this time.

Happy to hear that all is well with Bob!

The power came back on at 7:55pm. Our house and office survived some 90 mph gusts  and came through unscathed! Thanks for all of the kind thoughts guys; you make me feel warm and fuzzy behind the dirt and grime of an unwashed carcass... :opps: That's next on the agenda!

Good to hear from the "Unwashed One"!! :roflblack:

Never bothered me much being out of power, but man, I hate going without a shower! :banghead: Hey, that rymes!

Good to hear yer 'live' again Bob, have a treat, go turn all the lights on and bask in the glow! ;)

Posting before showering. Now that is commitment to the spyderlovers family!!
