• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Bluetooth question

I have a 2012 RT Limited. I had the CB and communication system installed at time of purchase. I also think they installed the entertainment harness. I am now interested in using bluetooth from my phone for music etc. with the spyder. Do I have all I need or do I need to install something more? I am new to this and would appreciate any help. I already have the wired OEM mikes and headsets for the helmets. Any help/advice is appreciated.

Thanks,

Ted

Now if I understand you correctly. You can use your phone as a music player and plug it into the I-pod jack or get a Bluetooth device that pairs with the phone and plugs into the same jack. Now the etc. part is a problem. I cannot think of any way of getting the mike output from your helmet to the phone for phone calls for example. Maybe someone else can think of a way. Now it would have been easy with wireless headsets, but with hard wired ones I don't think so.

The Garmin Zumo have built in Bluetooth that works with your phone, I use it in my set up all the time. For music I use my Ipod in the trunk but you can also store music on the Zumo and play it back that way. I like the trunk option because I can control volume and track with my left hand controls.

+1 . . . I associate my phone with the Garmin Zumo 660, and then associate the Zumo with my UClear HBC-100+. I use the music player on my phone to listen to music I've downloaded to it (put a 32 gig card in it!) and it plays through the Garmin Zumo and into the UClear earbuds. I hear the Garmin when it speaks to me, I hear incoming phone calls (I don't answer them . . . I pull over and call back, as I find phone conversations too distracting to ride safely) and I listen to tunes . . . life is good!

To use your cellphone for calls with a wired communication system you have the GPS installed as well. Then you use the BRP cellphone adapter cable that plugs in between the entertainment harness and the CB radio to connect your helmet mic to the GPS. Billy and Prin, Feel free to PM me if you have any questions, I can send you my number as well.
