• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Blue Highway ib Canada ...

My wife was talking to another rider and she said we should take on the Blue Highway across Canada. Where is it and has anyone ridden it?

I'm Canadian (obviously) and that is a new one for me and I've driven across several times. Never heard of the Blue Highway so I'd like to know too.
As far as I know the only highway that actually goes right across is the Trans Canada. There are others that branch here and there so you can go part way on others like the Yellow Head (16) and come back to the Trans Canada.
Maybe some clarification could help.

Actually, that is all I know!!

:dontknow: I tired Googling it for you...
I got:
Country Western bands
Songs
and some other stuff that I dare not mention!

Highway 21 running along the eastern shore of lake Huron is referred to as the Blue Water Highway. Nice part of the round lake Huron tour. But is only a small part of Canada.

Wow!

Sounds like a country song ... But haven't seen or heard of this well kept Canadian secret in my 55 years in this little country of ours

Personally I avoid blue highways

As much as I can because on my maps blue highways are freeways. Several years ago I read a book with the title. Traveling the Blue Highways...and that's all I know
HAPPY NEW YEAR. Time to start planning 2017 Spyder trips.

Neil Diamond song

One of his best ever recordings. On the "Tennessee Moon" CD. I listen to it in the garage frequently before a ryde in the Smokey Mtns. "Gonna take that blue highway and ease on out of town..."

Happy New Year!

It all depends on the map you buy: some of the highways are blue, some red, some green. just go to the red highway and turn down. Ha! Pardon the febile attempt at humor, have fun and be safe!
