There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Bleeding Brakes -Need Help

Need to bleed my brakes due to removing master cylinder piston ( was not part of the plan but happened) when installing chrome foot peg casting ,chrone brake pedal, ICSC foot boards and the ICSC hand brake.

Has anyone used the vacuum method. Reading manual looks like you disconnet brake and low presure power cables, due front left, front right , rear then VSS using the old pedal method is described. in manual.

Also need to locate the VSS does anyone know where this is and what due you need to remove to get to the VSS.

Would appreciaite any insight from anyone that has tackled bleeding the brakes.

The module with four hydraulic connections with one plugged it the abs/VSS module. I would recommend taking it to the dealer as there is a buds initiated computer controlled flush for the abs/VSS module

I know on the RS to bleed the brakes you have to hook it up to the BUDS and I think it takes 3-4 hours .:gaah:although I have read afew post where the owner bleed the brakes on there own ( not sure if it still had to be hooked to BUDS after ).

I almost done the same thing when I did the chrome foot peg support bracket as they show the picture of the master cylinder. The big poblem I had on the chrome was the bolt on the far side of the master cylinder . (took 3 hours and a few gosh darns to get that one bolt in .)

Agree on the master cylinder bolt. Took me several attempts and about 2 hours as well to rezlize that the bolt was going through the hole in the medal frame bracket hole and not involving the hole in the chrome foot rest. Would be nice the BRP would make that hole one size larger.

When removing the chrome foot rest for about the third time to adjust the ISCI (got the spelling correct this time) floor board position, the rubber boot got stuck which dislodged the piston lossing brake pressure.

The left side install took all of about 20 minutes to complete.

The ISCI hand brake was a smooth install as everything went as planned with not major problems. Seems to work great if I only had brakes.. The hand level moves the brake pedal with ease.

Turned on key and got major brake failure and would not start.. Talked with dealer today and he stated that the brake bleed process is quite involved and does require the computer interface as well.

Now loaded in trailer and will be off to the dealer.
