• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Blanks and connectors

Hi, everyone. First time post for me. I just recently got a 2018 F3-S, and I’m having a great time riding it. This is the first time riding less than 4 wheels since college 50 years ago.

I’m starting to want to add things, and I took a look at the two blanks on either side of the ignition switch. I was able to lift the trim piece surrounding the switch, and tried to remove one of the blanks. To my surprise, there is wiring and a connector attached to the back side of the blank. I also tried to remove the connector from the blank, but it seems attached quite securely.

My my two questions:
1). Does anyone know what the wiring is for?
2). Can I remove the connector? Should I just pull harder? I’m afraid of breaking something.

Thanks for any help!

Thank you so much, Rattlebars and Joe!

So if I want to install and connect Lamonster’s fog lights and rings, I assume that I can use the right side wiring at least for the fog lights?

The foglights from both Lamont and TrIcLED plug right in to the connectors and they come with the switch too.

Grips not heating.

I posted this in another thread but I will post here as well. Yesterday our heated grips were installed by the dealer. They are not working. On this thread I see that mentioned above, the heated grip plug is on the left and the fog light plug is on the left for plug and play operations. If this is correct, then I know the problem. They plugged our grips up in the right side. I will move it to the left side tomorrow and see if that fixes the problem.:f_spider:

The heated grips are on the left and the fog lights are on the right when seated on the :spyder2:
