That was a good day to test the Spyder
The temperature in Kamloops at 1,000 ft was about 13 degrees celsius and at 5,000 ft was about 4 degrees celsius. The wind was blowing at about 60 up to 80 km/hr on a very twisty road and hills. We followed and past a lot of highway trucks. The performance of the RT was very good, the handling was good for the condition. On a scale of 0 to 10, I would rate it at 8 for the handling of the conditions of the road and weather. Stiffer springs and torsion bar would be a good improvement and maybe would become 10. We ride 2 up and the suspension is definitely a 10. We rode 340 kms today and I am up to 1000 kms (600 miles) now. The fuel marked empty while there was still 10 litres in it, it must be fixed. My average speed was between 90 and 105 km/hr and the gas consumption was 36 miles per imperial gallon. Lower speeds definitely improves the gas mileage. I readjusted my front tires from 20 to 15 psi. My rear suspension is at the 3rd level riding 2 up. That was a great ride, very impressive, I don't regret my investment!!!! I have over 100,000 miles riding motorcycles: Kawasaki, Honda, my last 2 bikes were Harley's. I had a good luck with all of them and the Spyder riding is just as good as my touring Harley's :spyder2::2thumbs::yes:
