• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Biuld quality

You can do better than that...

But just to keep everything on the level: I'll report your post to Lamont as a "personal attack"
Fair enough?

I'm on my third Spyder. Overall, I've found them to be maintenance free and well built. However, the fact remains that there is still this ongoing complaining about BRP's quality. If I ever had this kind of controversy and complaining about my Seal Floorboards, I'd have been out of business long ago. The good news, for all of us, is that the great majority of aftermarket suppliers here on Spyderlovers.com make very high quality products and care greatly about Customer Service and satisfaction. We all want to....
Ride in comfort

Speaking of floorboards. You think you will ever make them for the STS? I have a 13 STS SM5 and would love to get rid of the pegs

It's and Its

It's and its are two of the most commonly confused words in the English language. However, understanding the difference between these two words is crucial for successful communication.
It's is a contraction for it is or it has. For example:

  • I think it's going to snow on Monday.
  • It's been a long time since I last saw Ben.
  • It's a small world after all.
Its is a possessive pronoun. Its modifies a noun and is used to show ownership. For example:

  • The bear carried its cub in its mouth.
  • Nothing can take its place.
  • The cat licked with its tongue.

Did they ever mention that the best mechanics are poor spellers and bad with grammer. If you find a mechanic that spells good or has perfect grammer, do not let him spin wrenches on your machine...

You seem to be one of the better mechanics here (at least from reading your posts), and your grammar skills appear to be excellent. So, does that mean there are exceptions to your rule? Or, do you hold fast to your rule? Just curious.

I also don't believe-

Those who can, do; those who can't, teach.

Hi Pam,

Re: It's really sad . . .

Good for you. girl. I could not have said it better,

PS) It seems that if someone is not satisfied with their Spyder, they do not belong here. Every Spyder owner belongs here IMO.

I had some issues with my 2013 RT Limited - most were heat related, and BRP finally fixed them. I'd get on it right now and ride anywhere in the country with no concern whether I'd get there or not - in fact, on Saturday, I'm leaving for a three-day weekend of ryding all day, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.

If something breaks, I'll worry about it, then - but not before!

I love this machine - it has provided the most fun I've had as an old man!

We owned 2 2013 RTs. One we sold before the recall for a considerable loss. Loss because the 13 values had already depressed greatly to the the problems.

The second one got the recall fix done. Before the recall it was hot and uncomfortable and a fire hazard. After the recall it left my wife stranded 4 times. Spent 4 months in the shop getting fixed and we had to move on. Sold this one at an even greater loss. Actually had a BRP dealer tell us straight up "I do not want your piece of $#!t" Was not a good overall experience. In fairness, BRP did come through with some measure of help on the second one, but it did not cover the extreme loss.

We now own a 2015 RT and F3 and really like them. If there were any real competition for BRP, we likely would have seriously considered it. Our choice really came down to suck it up or quit riding. We love riding too much so....

It just really sucks when you have a $30,000 lemon and take a $10,000 hit to trade the lemon in. Lemon laws do not apply to the Spyder in the great state of Minnesota and I think BRP takes advantage of that.

Try a $20,000 hit. 2013 RT values are really bad.
