There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. I am on my way to Spyderfest. Bike wont start and I am in Natchitoches at the Holiday Inn. Everyone on Spyderlovers has been great at trying to help me out. Bike won't even turn over. Looking for help with a dealership in Shreveport to have my bike towed there in the morning.

Please PM me.

Thanks,
Gene

Check the kill switch.? If its the auto trans are you stepping firmly on the brake :dontknow:

Need more info, As to whats happening when you hit the start button.

When I hit the start button. nothing, a white screen comes up and then goes out. It is an SE5]

Let me first say I'm not an owner. That said, in case you have not looked there's a basic trouble shooting guide in your owners manual. Have you checked fuses?

EngineDoesNot Start
ENGINE DOES NOT TURN OVER
1. Scrolling safetymessage on themultifunction gauge not acknowledged.
– Read the safety message then press the MODE button.
2. Engine stop switch in the OFF position.
– Make sure that the engine stop switch is in theONposition.
3. Clutch lever not engaged (SM5model).
– Pull in and hold the clutch lever.
4. Ignition switch in the OFF position.
– Turn the ignition to the ON position.
5. Battery dead or poor battery connections.
– Check the battery charge. Recharge if necessary (see BATTERY CHARGING).– Check the battery connections under the seat and on the battery terminals(see BATTERY).
6. Blown fuse.
– Check fuse condition (see FUSES).
7. Transmission is in gear (SE5model).
– Depress brake pedal if transmission is in gear.

Check the terminals at the battery, Could be lose, Had that happen to me once.[lose neg at the battery]
Also any other sounds like a clicking sound that would indicate a weak/dead battery.

You are describing a low battery issue. You may have loose connections or a charging system problem. It would pay to check all fuses, especially those under the seat. Sounds like you could use some dealer assistance. Remember that if you have BEST, they will tow you to a dealer (with some conditions).

Had teh same problem a month ago and the ground connection on the battery was loose. Tighten it up and on my way! Good luck!

Also check that the main, rear frame ground (negative jump start terminal under the seat) is tight. If it was loosened, it can cause a world of trouble, and is painful to tighten.

Jump start?

:agree: That would have been the first thing to try with his symptoms. It might not solve his issues if it's a charging problem, but atleast he could keep going.

At this point we have tried everything. We have one more thing to try in the morning. I will cross my fingers that it will work.

So did you check the fuses under the seat? The rectifier (charging system) fuse is there. Also check the relay up front. A loose (or failed) main relay can cause similar issues. You have nothing better to do until the dealer opens, anyway. ;)

I did not check that fuse under the seat. I will do that first thing in the morning.

If it is an. RT then look for small screw with a black ground wire right next to fuse box under seat located left back side under seat. If lose when you hit start button it may even spark slightly.

Its the computer ground i think.

we had it towed towed to a dealership in west monroe, louisiana. we are 100 miles closer to cuba. dealership said they will look at it first thing in the morning. so here we sit at a mcdonalds looking for a room for the night.
we wil update in the morning.
