• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Bike to Bike

My wife ordered a Spyder RTS to be delivered in March. As I ride a Goldwing, we are looking into Bike-to-Bike communications. Here in central California, the CB seems to be well over used. My friends with CB radios have constant chatter. Hard to break in to talk to someone. I am thinking of using FRS/GMRS radios. I can get a GL2Way for the wing that is plug and play, but I don’t know what to use with the RT. We have looked at the AutoCom, but I don’t know if it will work with the Spyder’s controls for the CB.
I would like to hear how other’s have solved this problem.

I'm afraid that you will not be able to get any system but the BRP CB/Comm System to integrate with the Spyder audio/control system. Your best bet would be to use some sort of Bluetooth bike-to-bike, or go to a wired sytem and either CB or FRS/GMRS. My wife and I have not had good luck with FRS/GMRS in conjunction with our Starcom1 systems. If you find something that works, let us know.
