• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Big time backlog at Elka ..? Anyone else experienced this??

I am attempting to purchase a set of Elka shocks and I was informed that there is about a 6-8 week backlog on orders..! Has anyone else experienced this ..?

It happens. I waited 7 weeks for my Ikon shocks. Like Elka, they produce shocks for many different makes and models of vehicles, and if you have just missed a Spyder production run, you just have to wait. Wilbers have a 6 - 8 week lead time at the moment, unless you are lucky enough to find a dealer who still has a set lying around. You’ll appreciate them even more when they arrive.

I ordered a rear Elka shock and after 9 weeks I called for status. Still no due date so I canceled and burnt my $$$ on heli-bars instead.

It’s snowmobile racing season soon! They were a small crew to begin with before bought out. The new company is suppose to be faster now. 6 weeks is not uncommon actually that’s great!. Anyone racing sleds right now has already placed their orders for the 2022 seasons and that’s multiple sets. Not uncommon this time of year. Take in aluminum shortage and parts delay. Spyders are not even close their top 5 shocks. Wrong time to order. I’d say May- July is the best time. Look at trailers right now. A custom aluminum trailer is 6 months everywhere from Michigan to New Hampshire. No aluminum and no dexter parts.

I ordered directly from Elka last Friday (10/15). They told me the lead time is 14-16 weeks. I cancelled that order and reordered from Lamonster Garage and they will have them on my door step by Thursday (10/21) and about $75 less.

just placed an order with lamonster garage for front and rear Elka's for our 2020 RT's. Had a heck of a time (payment), probably due to recent geological relocations! Hoping for a day here and there without major downpours, if not we'll wait for spring/summer. Can't complain, it's really green up here..

I just replaced all 3 on my RTL. Front two were easy to swap. That rear one requires you to remove the side panels to get to the bolts. It's not hard, just time consuming.

Elka Suspension wait time

Anyone else waiting on their Elka suspension order? I’ve been waiting 13 weeks, 4 days….it’s getting excruciating given the riding season will soon be coming to an end. LOL

It's not just Elkas. I'm having to wait 8-9 weeks to get a left handle control module for my 2018 RT. It's that global supply crisis that's messing everything up.

 I got my Stage 2 fronts for our 2014 RT-L from Lamonster in 4 days! at beginning of October. No problems. :2thumbs:
