• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

BR1 is ready for pickup this afternoon. We have not had any rain in three months in south Texas, but they are predicting heavy thunderstorms and possible hail this afternoon! Can you believe that. I will not pick up the scoot in this weather....perhaps tomorrow if clear. :gaah:

:spyder2:

Very Sad for today, but many many happy biking days ahead. Congrats on your conversion to the Spyder World

I know it can't come soon enough

George, Teddy & I empathize:( with your FRUSTRATION :gaah:
But the day to bring BIG RED1 home will soon be here & all this waiting will help you appreciate your 1st Ryde home even more

BR, Doesn't it seem like Mother Nature has a wicked sense of humor at times??
Now if you had ordered a new rainsuit with the bike... :doorag: it wouldn't rain for MONTHS! :roflblack:

Neither rain nor sleet nor snow can stop a new :spyder2: rider !!:dontknow: I've been waiting since Oct for my RTS Limited and hope to have it next week . Cold ,snow I don't care I'm riding home .

:2thumbs: BR mentioned hail in his weather report... I personally don't mind a bit of rain or cold weather, but when there's chunks of ice coming at me... :yikes:
But I admire your spirit!

George, be sure to tell all your neighbors that you and Big Red 1 are responsible for the nice rain they are getting. They should be happy enough to see the rain that they might buy you a new rainsuit or something.

But I know the feeling. When I picked my RT up on a Friday I told the service manager that I would be back the following Friday to get the 600 mile service. Then I had to ride two days in the rain to get the 600 miles on it. There's just something about new motorcycles that bring rain.

George I agree with you about riding in heavy rain and hail. I have done it on a bass boat several times at 65 miles an hour and it is not fun. If I was home and not in any hurry to get where I was going I will never do it again. :lecturef_smilie:
