• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Big Flag Holder for use in Patriot Guard & Rolling Thunder

I recently purchased a new RT Limited with a trailer hitch & trailer. I ride with Patriot Guard and Rolling Thunder and have always flown flags on my previously owned Goldwing, and would like to know in there are other Spyder riders who have modifications for flying large flags (3x5) on their hitches. Where dis you purchase and or die you fabricate them yourself. Some of the commercial flag holders do not appear suitable or usable with the Spyder hitch. I have a design thought and would like to see some other ideas before I fabricate something that has already been designed and/or better.

I kept the flag holder I used on my goldwing hitch, it can hold up to 5 flags. Got it at wingstuff.com. I believe it is a rivco product.

I have a friend that uses a heavy duty holder that he got at a flag place in Jax ... mount is made for a boat ... he attached it to a plate and bolted the plate to his hitch. Works great and I plan to do mine this way, when I get to it. He installs a pin through the mount and the flag staff to ensure it stays where it should.

Thank you. I am considering a design that will use the Rivco post mounted on a plate which in turn will be mounted on the hitch. BTW - how does one keep the pole from lifting out of the socket when riding?

Thank you. Looks like the same design I am considering that will use the Rivco post mounted on a plate which in turn will be mounted on the hitch.

Never had a problem with that and I have driven it up to 45mph in a funeral once. The flag the pole did not even lift a little
