• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Bicycle Hitch

I would like to start taking my bicycle with me on the road. Can any recommend a setup for a bike rack? Thanks

Rather odd idea there. What size bike is it? Roadster renovations spyder rack could offer place to mount with enough straps:popcorn:

MAYBE THIS

If you have a hitch I've seen bike racks for car hitches which are similar. You might have to add a couple of upper supports to the grab handles .......Mike

Why not get a small Harbor Freight trailer to haul your bicycle? Once you put it together, use plywood for the flooring. Then, get a bike carrier system (Thule makes a nice one) installed. You might be able to add a box to carry a suitcase. The possibilities are endless.

Perhaps you can get someone to weld up a framework that bolts to your rear grab rails... :dontknow:
Good Luck; let us know what you come up with!

I used to carry and I do see a few MC's carrying cycles. Most have some kind of rack that holds the frame and front wheel on the saddlebags. I used a "T" bicycle rack that fit in the hitch. I carried the cycle vertical and used ratcheting tie-downs to stabilize the top heavy sway. Just do a search for "motorcycles caring bicycles" and check the images.

I bought a small HF trailer and used a lightweight diamond plate for the deck, bought 2 Thule Roof Top Bike carries and made it work, we currently pull 2 Treks Mountain bike with my Victory Cross Country, I'm looking to put a hitch on the wife's STS so she can pull it with her Spyder as well. I will try and post a picture or drop us a PM if you'd like.

Here are are some pictures of the HF trailer I turned in to a bike hauler, tows fine behind my Victory getting my wife's Spyder STS set up soon to tow as well. I bought the HF trailer, 12" tire model, Thule Rooftop Bike Racks, and a piece of polished diamond plate 1/8" I think for the deck. I did switch all lights to LED as well and had to add a brake light due to the Victory being a 5 flat set up.
