better speakers for rts 2012

woiuld like to know if any one upgrade to better speakers on their bike .fornt and back. what type you used ...thks

Polk, marine application on mine. Lamont and some others are using something else. I have another thread where I posted a video I found on youtube of "how to" installl the rear speakers on the RT and you can find more info from the others. :thumbup:

I installed the Polk audio speakers, front and back and also installed an Alpine amp on our 2011 RTS. I installed them all at once so I don't have a feel for the improvement that just the speakers would make. My sound quality got better for sure, it is alot louder than before, but overall I was a little disappointed that the sound quality wasn't better than it actually is.

If I had to do it again, would I? No. I would probobly go for some type of in helmet audio.

I had the Polk on my last RT and to be honest the speakers on my 2012 sound as good as the Polk on my 2010 RT. Don't know if they changed them or not on the 2012 but they do sound pretty good and I find myself using the speakers more than my earbuds now around town riding.

I have these on order now and will give them a try and see if they are better than the Polk. I would not buy the Polk again.

I have the J&M speakers in hand along with the CB antenna. Now I just need the time to install. I can tell you that the J&M speakers that I installed on my Goldwing were great. I would expect the same for their Spyder speakers.
