• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I'm 6'4" and I have Marcel's slider windshield also. I like it because for most of my riding, I can leave it lowered and the shield looks good in that position. When I need more wind protection (for cold, rainy, or extended highway riding) I raise it up.

Order a F1 Slider

Talked to Marcel's about his windshields today and ordered the Tall Slider windshield. Should have it late next week. Nice guy to talk with and it was a easy sell. Windshield are on sell tell end of the month. Thanks for all the great information.
I will let you know how it works out.

Well, In my opionion if you want true protection from the wind the shield has to be at least 28 inches for me(5'10"). Any less and my head is being wipped around by the air "curls" that are created by the shield. I bought the XL Calsci and it was so much better than stock.....but, it still allowed air to hit my helmet and on longer rides - I would get a major head aches.

I talked to Mark at Calsci and told him I needed a larger shield - he can only make shields to a max of 24" because of his laser set up. I went there with my son and saw shields being made - very cool and high tech set up. He gave me some scrap shield material and did some shaping. I used the double back fastener he provided to see if it would solve my wind problem. It did! I then reshaped the piece he made for me to better blend in and permantly attached to the shield - it works great! I now have a small quiet wind free place for my head on long highway rides, yet the addition is thin and easy to look around and still low enough for me to look over.
Any way Calsci makes a great shield and I got incredible service from Mark and his son. He spent alot of time w/ my son and I talking about the wind shield production and laser technology - and starting the piece I requested. :2thumbs:
