• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Best way to preserve front shock mount bottoms?

Best to just not look at them. They will corrode if you ride in rain on roads that had been salted in the past. I always hose off my RS after a messy ride before putting it to sleep in the garage. You could use some spray silicone, but it will not last and could get on the tires.

Nothing. I wouldn't even spray them with anything as that just makes more of a mess and may actually degrade the shock bushing depending what you spray it with.

I suppose you could find some other hardware that was better plated to fasten them with as long at the fasteners were rated the same hardness.

I replaced mine with OEM BRP bolts when I replaced my shocks... and only the shafts had corrosion.

You could try Mercury Corrosion Guard (available at boat stores). However once a year you should remove it and then reapply as it attracts dust and will look dull. It does a fantastic job at preventing corrosion though and is very tenacious. It will not degrade rubber.
