• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Best way to clean a RT??

Honda Shine in the spray can works great for cleaning. It is also a wax if you let it set a few minutes. I use this exclusively on mine, even the windshield! Takes bugs and bird doo doo off very easily! It's about $5.99 per large can! I use it on all parts including the wheels and tires.

This product is now called "Original Shine". Same stuff, same manufacturer. They also make a product called "Cycle Brite". It is a spray on foam cleaner. These 2 work very well together.
Spary the foam on a dry bike and rinse off with water, then detail and shine with the Original Shine and a micro-fiber cloth. Use it on windshield, body panels, wheels, chrome.
PowerSports4Less sells the Cycle Brite for $7 and the Original shine for $6.

the best i have found.

I use turtle Ice Wash, then Ice touchup and then Ice wax, bugs don't hardly stop over and on the windshield i use a micro fiber towel and ice spray or ice with a sponge when washing. best products ive ever used.

I went to the local motorcycle store near my work, which sells Ducattis and Kawasakis. They had a dry-wash spray by Motul called "Wash & Wax" which they use to clean the plastics on their showroom bikes. So I thought I'd try that. It works quite well - just spray it on, and wipe everything off. It cleans up all the dirt and bugs, from both the tupperware and the flat black plastic bits, as well as the wind screen, headlights, etc. I usually do a first wipe off and semi-buff, and then with a cleaner terry towel give it a final buffing. No water needed. Takes me maybe 15 minutes to clean up the whole bike, and he looks all spiffy again.

They also have a "Shine" spray that the guy at the shop said you can put on after using the cleaner, if you want it to have "luster." I just wanted to take off the dirt and bugs and have it look clean, which the "Wash & Wax" spray did just fine. I paid about $9 for the 13.6 fluid ounce can.

The best way to clean an RT? Get somebody else to use their own elbow grease to clean it! :roflblack:
For serious cleaning I'll use just about any auto cleaning soap that is in the garage and follow it up with Pig Snot for the waxxing duties...
"Light lifting" is usually done with Lemon Pledge...

Brother, Lemom Pledge eventually will damage the finish. I learned from a very expensive mistake...
