How can a 2014 Spyder with a 3 year warranty have it expire in 2016 unless it was bought in late fall 2013? My '14 came with a 2 year factory warranty to which I added a B.E.S.T. 3 year extended warranty for 60 months total coverage.

you can get the extended warranty as long as it is currently in warranty is my understanding

whoop, my bad...you are correct...it was purchased in Mar '14 with a 2 yr warranty and if I buy it, I want to purchase an additional 3 yr

My experience has been that your local dealer has lots of latitude on warranty pricing. I have seen them priced as low as $750 up to $1,300 for the same BEST warranty.

Most recently my local dealer quoted an unacceptable price but when I showed them an email quoting a lower rate, they were quick to match it.

I would prefer to deal with my local folks whenever possible.

I second the recommentations to shop around for best price on the B.E.S.T. extended warranty. Recognize too that when the extended warranty goes into effect you'll have a $50 deductible for warranty repairs but it can sure beat laying our large coin if you dont have the extended warranty at all.
