I use Lucas Slick Mist on ALL surfaces (except tires).
I regularly use it on windshield and visors.
Works great.
Water beads off like crazy with regular use.
Bugs come off easier too.
Inexpensive.
Easy to find at Autozone etc.
Smells great.
Oh, oh, and it works great.

Picked up a bottle today at AZ. It does smell good. To soon to know if it beads water but I'll find out Monday when I leave for SF; calling for rain here Monday and Tuesday. I'm a look-thru-the-window person, not a peek-over-the-topper.![]()

I think ink you will like it. Just apply, rub in and buff. I usually have two microfiber towels that I use. One for the wet application and rubbing. The second towel I keep reasonably dry for final buffing. Doesn't take long to do the entire bike.
Hope you like it as much as I do. And have FUN at Spyderfest 2014 !!!!

Back in April, before departing for Springfield and anticipating rain, I asked what was good for the windshield. SteveMac replied with the above and I got some. It really does work beautifully, just as Steve says. It takes a bit more polishing to get the haze off, but if you run into rain, you'll be glad you used it. Great on the helmet visor as well. Good Stuff. Thanks Steve, and apology for the tardy report.![]()
I know RainX is not recommended, but are there any similar products that can be used on our windshields that is actually effective?
