• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

There are many great roads to travel in the area.

One is to take Highway 28 out of Deal's Gap all the way south to Highlands, NC. (About 140 miles). Hwy. 28 is a great road with lots of sights to see like the Dry Falls.. You could then take War Woman Road west to Dillard, Ga and then come north on 441/23 to visit Talulah Falls.

Another is to take the Cherahala Skyway out of Robbinsville, NC (runs off of 129 which is the Dragon) and take it all the way east to Tellico Plains, Tennessee. You must take the side road out of Tellico to see Bald River Falls. Then back down Highway 68 south (called the Viper) to Ducktown and then pick up highway 64 east back up to the Natahala/Deals Gap lake region.

Another route after the Cherahala Skyway is to stay on highway 68 south (the Viper) out of Tellico Plains to McCaysville and pick up highway 60 south. Stay on highway 60 (one of the best biking roads in Georgia) all the way to Dahlonega, Georgia.

Any of these is more enjoyable than the Dragon (IMO) but everyone has to do the Dragon once.

:agree: I agree with all of the above. And when you get a little tired of riding, take a few hours and stop by the Wheels through time museum in Maggie Valley. So much to see, and so little time.
