• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hi,
Teacher Bob here. I am a retired school teacher. Taught Middle School for 31 years. I talked to my Can-Am dealer yesterday. He just got back from the dealers meeting in Tampa. He rode a Spyder for the first time. This guy has ridden everythin on 2 wheelsfor years. He was tremendously impressed. He said that when I get mine, (hopefully in June) I will be lke a kid with a new bicycle. Anyway, I am really enjoying reading all the posts on the forum. I have learned a lot about the Spyder. As for the gear part. I don't mean for this to be a commercial but just an FYI. I work for PowerSports4Less.com. We sell al kinds of riding gear at great prices. I am already picking out some neat stuff for myself to wear when I get my Spyder. I would like to offer a 5% discount on any purchase to all Spyder riders. Gve me a call or drop me an email. Like everyone else out there that has a Spyder on order. I CAN'T WAIT TO GET RIDIDNG.

Thanks, Teacher Bob! I'm sure once folks get their vehicles, they'll want more goodies to go with them.

I'm a "not quite retired" teacher myself, with three BRP Spyder posters hanging in my classroom. (And yes, I can relate them to the curriculum!)

My students have been asking me every week since I ordered in April "Is it here yet?"

My biggest problem will be that my classroom windows don't look out onto the parking lot... ;D

Welcome to spyderlovers.

I have received several emails at my shop asking what gear I'm going to start out with when I get my Spyder. Here are links to a few items I have put back for myself to wear when I hop on my Silver Spyder. They are all from PowerSports4Less.com. Once again this is not a commercial for my business, it's just that I am very knowledgable about riding apparel and accessories ( I deal with this stuff every day) and I am happy to share this info with interested parties, especially fellow Spyder lovers. By the way, I am hopng to have my Silver Spyder custom painted to match the Nolan N-102 N-Com Secret helmet.

www.newenough.com
has some good deals now and then too.

I have purchased fro newenough.com with great success. They are easy to deal with and they have a lot of deals and closeouts and good for hard to fit. They do exchanges with no problem. I had ordered a mesh jacket and when it got here, the fit was terrible. They gave me a credit and sent out my new order as soon as they got back the jacket. I love my mesh jacket from Fieldsheer with a zip out liner and body armor. I am long in the body and many jackets are just to short for me, especially when I lean forward riding. This one fits great and is really comfortable in hot weather (except sitting at lights) and with the liner is pretty warm for the fall day. It would not be a cold weather or winter jacket though. Anyway, they treated me well and they have many brands and specials to choose from.

:agree: The folks at newenough are excellent to deal with, very ethical and great with customer service. I have purchased from them a number of times as well and can't say enough good things about them.

...me too. Teacherbob, you might want to double check that link...
You need to copy the entire link, including the numbers at the end, and paste it in your browser. Do not just click on the link, as the numbers are not underlined and therefore you will not go where Teacherbob intended. If you paste it, it will take you straight to the glove site that he was talking about.

Cheers,

Bruce
