• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Best Floorboards?

Which is the best floorboards for 2013 Spyder RT SM5?

Like most other things :spyder2:, you pays your money and you takes your chances. The perfect floorboard for one person would be unacceptable to another. That's why there are so many. The best bet is to go to a :spyder2: get together like Spyderfest and check out the vendors floorboards.

The BEST ones; will be the ones that you buy, after careful consideration of the pros and cons of what's available out there...
Sorry... it's always got to be your money; your choiice!

:agree: with the suggestions that you should make plans to come to Spyderfest and check out all the bikes with floorboards and the vendors that will be their.:2thumbs::yes: Nothing like an informed decision and you can probably ryde home after the event with a new farkle!:ohyea:

I will give you my opinion only as I believe that the ISCI floorboards are superior with HGH quality billit aluminum and mounting hardware, check out the website sight sponcer.

How tall are you? That could make a difference.

You always have the BRP floorboards since you have a 2013. They have a "Breakaway" feature where the board will actually tilt forward if you have to use too much brake.

Seals are big. they give plenty of room to move around, and one model will actually replace the need for highway pegs.

Isci are basic.

Both seals and Isci will bolt on to your existing foot pegs (I believe), so if you have long legs, it may still be an issue. My legs were long enough so that seals really couldn't get my knees in a position to ride comfortably for long periods.

Rivcos replace the pegs, and drop the floorboards down about 1-2 inches. They do allow me to get my knees into a comfortable position (for me). I used to use my highway pegs quite a bit, now I find I don't need to use them as much.

It is best to find an event, or gathering, and try some different options out though...

Thanks. I'm 5' 11" and I do have a problem with them being low enough. Will check out Seal @ Rivcos.

floor Boards

Inspector gadget has nice boards. Can't go wrong for the money. I have them on mine and I love them.:yes::yes:

Are the Web boards low enough to let you stretch your legs?

Well they are the same height as the original foot pegs, but they are strong enough to put your feet up on top where they bend up in the front, much like a highway peg if you want to stretch out.

The fact that you've got the SM-5 tranny, may limit your options a bit...
But; good luck, and happy hunting! :2thumbs:

The SM5 will limit your options. Most of the floorboards are set up with the SE5 in mind. I have Seals on both my :spyder2:'s and like them a lot. One set of Deluxe and a set of Pups.

The best floorboards belong to me and I made them from 1/4 inch thick aluminum diamond plate. They are exclusive and nothing like them. I put the most love in making them.
