• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Best Dealerships to get a Can-Am

I think the dealerships here in Northern VA aren't the best place to buy due to cost. Can anyone recommend any dealers around the country that are close to VA or that ship and have good prices? Thanks!

You need to get on the internet and on the phone. There are deals, but you have to do the leg work to find them. Once you have found a satisfactory deal, you can fly to the location, make the transaction, and ride the Spyder home. Riding your Spyder a couple thousand miles home is much more enjoyable than having it shipped to you.

Ummmmmm..... Google?

Seriously, just find dealers within a certain radius of you, go to their websites, see what they have in inventory, then call them and tell them what you're willing to pay. You need to know which model you want to buy first, and what the MSRP is. I spent several weeks online and on the phone before I made a deal at a dealership 140 miles away. I had quotes from as far as Florida and Texas. You just have to put in the work if you want to get a good deal. It's not much different from buying a car.

Got a great deal from Louis Powersport in Texas. We did everything over the phone including shipping. We live in N.Y. Good luck to you.

If you're referring to Lewisville Powersports in Texas, that was one of the places that I got a quote from. They were very close to the dealership I finally bought from.

The one I was referring to was Louis Powersport in Greenville Texas. I talked with Curtis the sales rep. Give him a call.

You'd be surprised at just how expensive; "Cheap" can end up being. Find the Dealer that'll give you the best service after the sale!
Happy Hunting, and Good Luck! :D

You are correct, I bought mine in Coleman Woodbridge and did get a great deal but I was lucky, that does not happen to much in our area. (I lived in Kingstowne). You should try Hanover, PA, everyone I spoke did have a great experience there. Good luck.

This is where I got mine too. Curtis is great to work with .

Ditto here.

But I live in Texas. Don't forget to consider the hassle of buying across state lines, vis-a-vis the varying DMV and sales tax requirements that might be involved. This could blindside you.

Can't you get service from any local spyder dealer after you buy one?

From a business standpoint--the answer should be yes.

We have had many people post about no service or being put on everlasting hold from dealers that were offended that the customer dared to purchase a :spyder2: from anyone but them.

Tactics include waiting weeks to schedule an appointment and holding the :ani29: hostage for a week at a time--because they just couldn't get to it.

Hence, the warning about "foreign" purchases.

Upside: there are also dealers that will service well, regardless.

All - Thank you for all the great tips. I am going to start shopping around over the phone. I saw where Can-Am has specials that expire on July 31. BG
