• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I'm a new spider owner or a 2009 Rssm5 but the seat is very uncomfortable so would recomend a corbin seat or a confront seat from BRP eventually I would like to have the confront of ST

Seats are a very personal thing. What works for one person may be miserable to another. If you can get to a Spyder event and ask some owners to sit and try their seats, it helps. If not, the fully custom seats made to your measurements like the Russell Day-Long, or the seats modified by Motorcycle Dave (SpyderLovers sponsor) may be the safest choices. The BRP Comfort Seat may be the cheapest. Corbins are very firm, if that is what you prefer. They take quite a while to break in. You pay your money and hope for the best.

Please note that the leg position and handlebar position are different on the ST, so you will never match that feeling completely.

I have tried both a BRP comfort seat which is more comfortable than the stock seat-barely. I now have an Ultimate seat and it suits me to a 't'. The back rest feature alone makes it worth buying. Your experience may be different. I am 5'8" 170 if that makes any difference and I ride 12-15k a year.

I am using the Ultimate seat that I find to be extremely comfortable but choosing seats based on recommendations from others without actually sitting in/on one is like getting an on line medical diagnosis.... we are all built somewhat differently.

Correspond with SpyderLovers in your area or hang around dealerships and try to find someone who has installed a custom seat and try it on for size. Or, wait until Spyderfest next year and there will be lots of folks with custom seats who may allow you to try them on for comfort.

Sitting and riding (if possible) on various models is the way to go. One persons comfortable seat can be anothers torture machine. The other problem--if its not right--you just made a $500 plus mistake in most cases.

I have used both Corbin and the BRP Comfort seat on :ani29:'s. I currently have one of each on different :spyder2:'s. Over 35,000 miles on my Corbin and 10,000 miles on the Comfort. At this point, I am liking the Comfort best for my needs.
