• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Belts and chipseal!!

WE are on a trip from Beaverton - Baker City - McCall, Idaho - Joseph Oregon - Beaverton. Two days ago we were taking US95 and came upon construction area where they were dropping new chip seal road topping. We waited in the terrible heat for about 30 minutes and the pilot car finally came thru. We were being lead at no faster than about 20 mph. We made it half way thru construction and the bike felt like it came off the ground when a rock found 1/4" chip made its way to the belt/sprocket. then several did the same. We pulled over and found 3 rocks sticking out thru the belt. I used my knife and dug out the offenders and then tried, with the help of Procaliber WA, to find a service center that could replace the belt. Unfortunately Boise/ Caldwell, Idaho was the closest and way too far in the opposite direction. We pulled to the closed lane, put 4 ways on and proceeded on the berm slowly unto out of the problem area. Hundreds of cars went by but none slowed to see what the problem was!! well, we are simply continuing the trip carefully and hoping the damaged belt holds together. I will be ordering the belt guard when I get home! I will NEVER ride new chisel again! The belt actually looks like the rocks "exploded" thru the belt in at least three places.

I understand!

Never trust the Pilot Car! Great response from this site had me on the road a day later!
