• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Works great!

I ordered mine off Ebay from a Central Florida dealer...it was quicker than going to my local dealer and then having to go in and pick it up. The video Lamonster did on installation helped a ton!! I was able to use his tips and tricks to install this by myself within 30 minutes or so. No more vibration at all! Just did a 500 mile trip this weekend with no problems and cruised along around 85mph smoothly.

Highly recommend!!

Completed my installation over the weekend.

AWESOME UPGRADE :clap::clap: BYE BYE Vibrations!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Totally different ride with the VIBs gone.:yes::yes:

Have a dealer appointment to do it because he said the belt tension has to be changed as well. Is that the case?

4 In stock in Australia with BRP Asia Pacific

Yahoo finally arrived in Australia.:ohyea:
Put mine on today and it works.
Pn 219800412
Mat. Desc. F3 Idler Pulley Kit (Esemble Roue Libre F3).
Known in Australia as a Idler Belt Kit.
For the technically minded.....
Appears that the swing arm (injection Moulded) and roller are made from Acetal so will be strong and last along time.
Japanese NSK roller bearings in roller and possibly in the pivot point.
Bolts are Class 8.8 medium Carbon Steel Heat treated. Proof load of 600 Mpa with Nilock nuts.
The spring looks like good quality also But I will be keeping an eye on it for corrosion.
The bracket is 2.5 mm (1/10 inch) plate steel.
It has about 6.5 kg pre load when flat.
Shame on BRP for not putting this on originally.
BRP will most probably still have it as an option to recoup R&D costs and hence avoid liability for an imaginary vibration (one that most of owners have experienced).

Yeah!

Just had a message from my dealer that it is in. Thank you, Americans, for finally letting some reach the other ends of the earth. I have to pop my F3 in for a checkup and laser alignment once I get me new Kumho on, so I might get them to do that at the same time.

Are you serious, Whammy? The bolts are only Class 8.8? I will send it back and demand at least Class 8.9 ........Seriously though, thanks for the info.....even though I don't have a clue what acetal is, it's great to know that it is made out of long lasting materials:thumbup:

Yes I would have preferred class 12.9 bolts (1220 Mpa Tensile Strength) but it is hard to find class 12 nuts so I would have to make do with class 10 nuts.
Polyacetal (Acetal POM) is basically a Thermosetting Plastic it is hard, stiff, resists creeping, has dimensional stability with a low coefficient of friction (stay away from jokes about this material). It is replacing precision metal gears and bearings, great for things that are in hot water up to 60 to 90 C.
I fitted it in less than 30 minutes so make sure you do not get charged extra for morning tea and lunch breaks. They should be able to do it in less than 30 minutes. I had to make 2 trips from my car parking garage to my workshop garage which added 8 minutes. So BRPs estimate of 0.3 hours (20 minutes) is correct.
Note for Australian fitters .. . the instructions illustrate the USA version with the larger rear sprocket hence the idler roller sits lower on the European / Australian models with maybe a little less tension (less than 3kg (= 0.5 kgf)).

Whiles it's a good idea to check your belt tension and make sure it's in spec, it is not a requirement. There is no recommended change in the belt tension when installing this option.

I received my kit yesterday and have printed out the instructions.
Here is the deal guys, I also found out yesterday that I have to have spine surgery next month so please go easy on the back-and-forth about my question, I'm just not in the mood... sorry.
Where can I get a video of how to install it?
