• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Belt Tensioner for 17 F3L

I’m ready to order a belt tensioner. Appears Lamonster has the modified BRP model and SlingMods has the SpyderExtras. Price aside, I like the idea of the bigger roller/bearings on the Lamonster setup. The idea of losing the roller and asking out belt scares me.

I would appreciate hearing everyone’s experiences good or bad. Thx.

I installed the Lamonster roller/bearing upgrade on my 2019 F3-S. Have about 2k miles on it. Much beefier/substantial than the OEM roller. Nice upgrade..

Our roadster renovations 1 million mile belt tensioner failed and ruined the belt at 50,000 miles. Told doc. He owes me a belt and a refund. Replaced the belt, and with a few attempts, found the perfect tension. No belt tensioner for us!
Of the bunch, I like Lamont’s best. Since most folks will never see 50k in 2 years, it looks to be the best of the bunch.

still got docs on. about 15000 miles. still seems tight. have 1 replacement roller and spring laying around.
will probably get lamont roller for the brp setup that i bought a couple of years ago.

I don't think he ever guaranteed it to last one million miles. What he wrote one time was that all the tensioners installed added up to over one million miles. Don't expect to ever get the refund and replacement. He and his business seem to have totally evaporated from the internet and from his home town.
