• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Belt Tension Adjustment

Doc's tensioner adds about 6 1/2 to 7 lbs. to the belt tension. I used a fish scale to test it's pressure. If your belt is running on your sprocket like it's suppose to and you've mounted Doc's tensioner according to instructions, leave your belt tension alone. I'm running about 200#'s wheel on the ground with the cricket gage, and Doc's tensioner has little to no effect on that reading. The tensioner just sucks up all the belt vibration I use have.

I'm just trying to figure out where I am getting this vibration through the bars. Spyder only has 700 miles on it. Tires should be ok, I would think.

If you haven't spun balanced your front tires then do it. I took mine to where I purchase my car/truck tires and asked them if they could balance my spyder tires. They said yes and did it for free. What a difference a spin balance can make. Check your front end and make sure everything is tight while you have the tires off.

We have always had to replace the Kendra tires. They are horrible. We run Federal EVO's on both the RT & F3 on the front. Michelin on the rear.

I have a set of Kendra fronts with less that 5k on them. Make an offer :roflblack::roflblack::roflblack: if interested. They are off the 2017 Daytona.

Doc's belt tensioner

I installed Doc's tensioner last weekend but only got out today for a good ride to test it. It works like a charm, much smoother all around. There is still some vibration in the bars in the 3200 to 3400 RPM range though. I had noticed this before with the bike and I believe it is inherent with the triple engine. It's not bad, just some light buzzing in the bars. All bikes no matter what make will have an RPM range where you will get some vibration. I rode about 70 miles non stop, with some spirited runs, and after getting home I checked the temperature of the pulley (by touch) on Doc's tensioner out of curiosity. It and the belt were slightly above ambient temperature and both being the same. A slight belt warming due to usage was expected. So nothing out of the ordinary was found. Very happy with Doc' belt tensioner. :2thumbs:

Is the belt tensioner only designed for the RT? If so, does that mean an RS doesn't 't need or won't see any improvement from a belt tensioner?

RT and F3 only. We would like to do something for the RS, but it will require an adapter. Have to have one hands on for several hours to figure out the adapter.
