• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Belt loose

Hi all , I have a 2008 rs . I removed the rear fender and tried to install a vertical plate holder by removing the axle nut , installing it and putting the nut back . Everything went well or so I thought .
After taking it for a quick drive , I didn't make it a few hundred feet and then I heard a couple pops , I look at the belt and its slipping off the sprocket . When I inspected it , it was really loose , as in I can just take it off loose . What went wrong ?

The adjusters on the rear of the swing arm moved. They should be tight against the swing arm on both sides.

Welcome!

Lol . I'm starting to realize that . The weird thing though is that I had the left one removed to paint it and never put it back on . Rode the bike a few times and nothing ever happened . Coincidence ?

Lucky...!!

you had the axle holding things in place till you loosened the nut. Need to adjust and align it once more....

My belt was slipping off too, I just adjusted it today with advice from fellow Spyderlovers. Super easy to do. But it sure helps to have the adjuster in place-if you took it off, wouldn't hurt to put it back on! :)
