• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

as a hobby i like to play around with the stupidest people on the planet. nigerian & benin scammers, so what i do is reply
and make up obviously dumb names and see what happens. this is a name i used for over 3 months & finally got a check
to it. i have checks for fred flintsone, george jetson, hannah montana, adolf hitler, idi amin, bill clinton, barack ***** and
many many more.
it's fun when they call & i jerk them around or they send email waiting for me to send them money and i string them along.

When I get junk mail that contains a post paid return envelope, I stick someone else's junk mail in it and send it to them. It helps keep the post office in business.;)

However, you have taken it to another level. Nice job.
 
We were getting calls from someone with a very heavy indian accent saying that he was from "Windows" and needed to access our computer for repair. I knew it was a scam especially when he said "no not microsoft, Windows" Finally got sick of sometimes 2 or 3 calls a day so the last time he called I said Thank God, we have been trying to get someone to do our windows and have not had any luck. Then I asked if they did the inside as well as the out side and do you do the screens to?

He finally hung up on me and as not called back since.

Yes i have seen the 419 sites but i like the dumb names i get on the checks including al sharpton & jesse jackson. once i get
their phone number on my caller id i program my computer to dial it a few hundred times. Hey we all need a hobby.

Happened to me too. So I told them go ahead fix my windows, asked me what's wrong my windows, I said you must know you're the one who called. And call me when you done fixing.
 
One day I got two of those emails. So, I sent them both to the other ones and told them to help each other out. :roflblack:
 
I own an IT Business and also work on lots of customers computers and you'd be surprised according to statistics the percentage of people that fall for these scams. It is close to 30% that allow access remotely and pay money for the FIX that never works. There are many computer scams presently and fixing the results sure keeps me busy:yes::yes:

Did similar but sent used puppy pee pad :roflblack::roflblack: other junk mail makes great fire tender for fireplace or camp fyi & no shortage of it. Shred into confetti if u like, it packs well. Some of the glossy ones turn fire pretty colors. (Any fire must be in well ventilated area)

The only DOWN SIDE to this , and it's real, is by stringing them along, you are encouraging them to continue
reaching out.

Totally Disagree!

They will do this and continue to do this if they have success hits... Alas there are far too many gullible people in this world which makes them continue when they get a pay off!

Scam Baiting and causing them to work hard for no return... DOES in fact help others to not get scammed as they loose time!

Trust me on this as like the OP said, dragging them along and wasting their time and resource on chasing false hopes on a "hit", keeps them from having the time and resources scamming the gullible.

After a while with no success, they will have to move on to something else for a living! Realize they spend money on internet time, etc to even do this. With no success, like anything, they give up and do something else.

So sorry... your wrong... My opinion.

Doing this ^^ is a good start, but you need to take it just a little further if you want to get OFF all their mailing lists.... nojoke

Here in Aust, those Reply Paid or Post Paid Return envelopes are only valid for mail of 'Up To' 10 Kg's (about 22lbs) so to do it right, you've gotta pack up a box of rubbish paper etc that weighs about 12kgs(26 lbs) or just a little OVER the limit, then stick the Reply Paid envelope on top of it & drop it off with the Post Office - DO NOT whatever you do pay for the excess weight, tell 'em that the people at the other end who gave you the Reply Paid thingy will pay it.

Soooo, that way, when the sender of the original Junk Mail gets notified that they have a box waiting with a Reply Paid envelope on it but it exceeded the allowable weight, they hafta pay the excess to collect it..... they tend to work out PDQ where it came from & even quicker learn that if they send me their crap, I'll send them even MORE junk mail back at their expense AND they'll hafta pay for privilege of collecting it before they work out they shoulda just tossed it. :yikes:

You don't get any more Junk Mail from them - EVER AGAIN!! ;)

Just put about a 1/2 teaspoon of flour in the postage free envelope and mail it back.......make sure your fingerprints aren't on it :yikes: :roflblack: :roflblack: :roflblack:.........Mike :thumbup:

I guess MY time and resources are being incorrectly allocated, and I need to WASTE more of it on scammers. Uh...
probably will just continue to hang up. Incidently, I generally do trust "Finless" and I know that we ALL have our
collective best interests at heart. Merry Christmas Everyone.

:agree: no fingerprints on anything; don't mail it from your local Post Office, and put a fake return address on it from another Scammer!

that is why i do it, i waste their time, get their hopes up then when i dial their phone a few hundred times they end up changing numbers. i
have unlimited dialing plans at work & can program to dial 100 numbers in under 3 min.
i also harass ILLEGAL telemarketing callers and it is very simple to find out if they are legal or not while on the phone.

i have sent, dog poop, human poop, dead rats, dead squirrels, i have also sent something that smells like a dead, rotting rat pulled
out of your a** after a taco bell all nighter(it's this liquid stuff guaranteed to be the smelliest stuff on the planet).
Again it's a hobby.
