• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Been meaning to ask this for a while.......

The rear switch button on the right side handlebar cluster flashes the head light when the bike is switched off.

Is it supposed to do anything when the bike is running? If not, then what is it's intended purpose? :dontknow:

This is more difficult to describe than I thought!! Grrr.....
'Kay! If you look at the left hand bar switch cluster where the Mode switch is; but on the right
hand bar in the same position.... You would use your index finger to operate it. Is that better??
:opps:

Here's what you do..!!

when dark out and you want to find something in the frunk just open the frunk hit the flash button and reflect the light into the frunk without starting the engine. Lights don't come on with ignition...:dontknow:

Off topic. Kinda. But I think he has a head light flasher. You know, HEY PULL OVER I'm coming thru. My KTM, European built, has one on the forward part of the bars, but on the left side.

:dontknow:

We have one on the spyder. But it is part of our HL rocker switch.

How about a picture!

Not that hard..!!

unless this is only on RS/RSS models....on the left side back of controls you have the mode button...other mode button is on the dash. On the right side on the back of the contols you have a light flash button. This flashes the lights with or without the ignition on...don't know if the RT's have the same set up...

You got IT. RT minded and he has n RS. :opps:

This switch is intended to Illuminate the Frunk, with the lid (bonnet) open in the dark. Yes, this is an RS thing.

My 2012RT does not have that button. This is most curious. What does the owners manual say?

i am sure BRP mistakenly left that button off my bike just to cause me angst.

Not only did they leave that button off to cause us angst, but the light they put in the trunk is so weak that I have to put my hand right in front of it to test that it working properly...:banghead:

That is why I carry a flashlight in the frunk  . . . problem is, I can't find it in the dark! :banghead:

Hmm....mine works fine. In fact, some of the guys on the latest trip really ragged on me about the light and, the rollaway suitcase.

My response........you too could have such sweetness. Get a Spyder
