• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Beautiful day for a ride

It was in the 50's when I started, almost 70 when I finished. Nice ride in the Texas Hill Country up to the Lost Maples State Park. Saw a blue Spyder going west on 16 when I was returning.

Sadly..!!

we are having great weather but can't help but feel bad for those that are not. I try not to post about it that much in the winter but it is hard cause it is great. Glad you are enjoying it..!!

I truly apologize to those in the cold north.. I have two weeks more to ride before a total knee replacement, so I am enjoying all I can as I will be out of action for 4-6 weeks. Having the surgery now, so I will be ready for SpyderFest.

Thursday was a beautiful sunny day, in the mid 30's. I took Topper for a ride to Harpers Ferry, WV . . . and was smiling the whole ride. Harpers Ferry 1.jpgHarpers Ferry 2.jpg

Here is a report from a part of the frozen North. Friday we had a high of 48 and that was ABOVE zero. It was in the 40's on Saturday also. We have had a rapid snow melt, losing about half what was on the ground--I now have about a foot. Dry pavement lurks about a half mile from my country road location. The ice on the two roads leading to the highway and beyond are all that kept me from firing up the :spyder2:'s. The anticipation for Spring is killing me.

Hats off to those who are able to ryde. :2thumbs:

Me too!!

Out on mine today in unseasonably warm temps for January, 50 degrees when I left for lunch in a pub built in 1512!
Then a short ride to a friends place. The downside was that by the time I left to return home the temp had fallen to the
mid 30s and the damn gritters had covered my route home with salt!! Ah well .....will wash the Spyder tomorrow!! ;)

My wife and I decided to spend the day riding the desert. Ended up In Lancaster (CA) for fine dining at I-N-Out. This is the way to spend a winter Sunday afternoon. Couldn't help but brag...Sorry too

I had a BMW RT 100 and rode the High Desert many times in the early 80's. Had a memorable trip to the Colorado River, where the leader got us lost so crossing the desert in the middle of the day with temps around 110. After arriving we all jumped in the river clothes and all to cool off. I think that is the "hottest' ride I have ever had.

I hope you have a speedy and uneventful recovery!

Went riding yesterday also, -15F by snowmobile that is. In the north we have to get our minds off the Spyder someway.
Roger

OJ UK. Please post a picture and location of pub. I would like to see what it looks like as it has been a few years since my last visit to the UK.

Same here! As a Beer Man, I always enjoy a fine Ale. Photo's above my desk show a Brewery in the Isle of Skye and one showing the interior of a bar with 8 Cask Conditioned Ales on Tap - photo's a gift from my brother. My bucket list has a trip to the UK and visit pubs just as described by you. Best I can do here is make my own Ales --been a home brewer for many years. Cheers to all! -- Oh, checked over my Spyder yesterday, washed it and took off on a nice ride -- 72 degrees here in the E Texas Piney Woods.
