• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Bear Mountain Cruise Night

Hey all..I am planning on ryding up to Bear Mountain this Wednesday night for the weekly car show. Last week I went with my buddy, in his car, and we got there late.. around 7pm. Took almost 40 minutes to get in..tons of cars and bikes. Two Slingshots and NO SPYDERS!
I plan on getting up there early, around 530.
I also plan on spending the extra cash to park on the field. Usually, the two wheeler all park kinda close together by the Merry-go-round.

Also, every Friday night there is a car show in my town, Pearl River NY..I also plan on attending that as well. This week The Rockland Rodders are asking for non-perishable food for local food pantries. I believe it's this week. And they mentioned something about having pizza this Friday.
Details for both below..

Bear Mountain Cruise Night
Wednesday's 6pm-9pm
Park entrance fee of $4 to all vehicles.
1996 and newer cars and trucks will be charged an additional $5 to get onto the show field.

At which park entrance do the riders gather on Wednesday night?
Thanks...

Depending on which way you take, the entrance to the cruise night is located near the Park Police building, near the Bear Mountain Inn.
There is a small booth. Every two wheeler then parks yo the right, just past the booth. I myself, will be paying the extra to park on the field. They do a pretty good job with signage and there is always a stream of classic, rare and cool vehicles.
I hope that answers your question.

Dang!

It's hot!
Decided to hit the show anyway...cars keep filing in.
Parked next to a Slingshot.

Decent turn out..I was the only Spyder. Met a couple who also have an GS, but they live so close they walked. Also me a guy named Jim who has a RSS. Lots of people asking all sorts of questions. Even let about a dozen kiddies hop up so mom and dad could snap a few pics.
Unfortunately, I never had a chance to walk around!20150729_180945.jpg

I have been trying to get up there for the past year. Just haven't made it for one reason or the other. When does it end? And are you going up again. Maybe we can set something up down the road and try to get a lot of spyders together.

Another day, another cruise

I live in a relatively small town. Friday nights, a local car club does a cruise night. Last night was to get some food back into the local Food Pantry program. Being the field used for this cruise is less than a half mile from my house, I had to go donate some food and have some fun.
My wonderful wife and one of my son's walked there with our dog. It was a pretty good turn out. Lots of neat cars and lots of folks asking about my GS.
